Ficus Triangularis 24"
The Ficus Triangularis is a distinctive member of the fig family, native to tropical regions of West and Central Africa, where it grows as a small tree in warm, sun-filtered environments. It’s best known for its unusual triangular-shaped leaves, a rare characteristic that gives the plant its graphic, architectural appeal. Historically, ficus varieties have been cultivated for centuries as ornamental trees, prized for their structure and longevity. The Triangularis, in particular, stands out for its slower, more controlled growth habit, making it especially well-suited to indoor spaces. When grown in its native environment, it can reach up to 6–8 feet tall, while indoors it maintains a more compact, upright form with proper care.
Care instructions
Light
Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain its creamy variegation. It can tolerate medium light, but lower light may result in slower growth and less contrast in the leaves. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can scorch foliage.
Water
Water when the top 2–3 inches of soil feel dry. Ficus prefer consistency, so avoid cycles of overwatering and complete dryness. Reduce watering in cooler months.
